“I don’t want peace on earth; I want structure”
I was working on something today and had a sudden flashback to when pre-teen pH was at a class with some other PDX kids and they were building a model city (that required consensus; so far, so Portland). But pH wanted to add schools, churches, oil refineries, and military bases–all things that she thought were necessary for the existence of the model city.
She was outvoted.
I was talked to after class.

This is so PNW! If it were California, especially SoCal, nobody would blink, haha.
And I’d rolled up in an electric car to get her–I was like, well, we had been talking about infrastructure recently? I do not miss that teacher.
